We first let the Treasury buy back its own debt in March 2000.
Shocker, they're doing it again — $4 billion a day starting September 9.
That's $80 to $100 BILLION a month.
Enough for FOUR aircraft carriers.
Or 20,000 homes.
Meanwhile, interest payments just crossed $1.1 TRILLION annually.
And they're borrowing another $739 billion this quarter alone.
As one hedge fund guy put it: "It's like paying your mortgage with a credit card."
Actually, it's worse. It's paying down one card while opening three new ones.
Are we all just asleep at the wheel? 🫵
