Alex Soros is Loser Three this week, and the fourth of George Soros's five children — the eldest from his second marriage.

In 2022, he became the chairman of the Open Society Foundations (OSF), his father's philanthropic network, and in June 2023, was officially named the heir to control the $25 billion empire.

Born in 1985 in New York City, he had a privileged upbringing but spent much of his early childhood under the care of nannies at the family estate. His Hamptons parties were dubbed "Camp Soros" in-between history studies at NYU and a PhD from UC Berkeley in 2018.

As the head of OSF today, he oversees about $1.5 billion in annual grants to various causes globally.

After dumping Anthony Weiner, Huma Abedin married him in June 2025 in a wedding described as the “wedding of the liberal royalty.”

Alex describes himself as "more political" than his father, planning to use the family fortune to champion whatever they choose.
